Help the Miami Valley Military History Museum make the 'Big Switch'

The Miami Valley Military History Museum needs your help to raise the funds needed to move Fairborn. The campaign, Operation BIG SWITCH, kicked off with a public Meet 'n' Greet followed by a 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War Pinning Ceremony.

The museum is hosting a Silent Auction on 15 May from 1400-1700 at the Fairborn Senior Center located at 325 N. 3rd Street in downtown Fairborn.

Tickets are $5 and can be purchased in advance or at the door. More than 30 businesses have donated jewelry, hotel stays, tools, business printing services, maintenance and body shop services, specialty desserts, bowling, genealogical services, carpet cleaning, grocery store gift cards, lawn services, etc.

There will also be door prizes, a 50/50 drawing, light refreshments, and a cash bar. Drinks will be in single serving cans and bottles; bottled water and all snacks are purchased individually wrapped per CDC guidelines.

At a meeting of Fairborn City Council on May 3, Mayor Paul Keller proclaimed May 2021 as "Miami Valley Military History Museum Awareness Month" in the City of Fairborn, and urged all citizens “to recognize and support efforts being made to move the Miami Valley Military History Museum to Fairborn."

The museum is offering Charter Memberships that can be printed out and mailed in. A Charter Membership can also be made in remembrance of a loved one to honor and celebrate their life. Charter Memberships will be available until MVMHM opens in Fairborn, and donors will be recognized on a plaque at the Museum entrance.

The address is:
