The Patriot recognizes AMVET Post 51, donation to Fisher Houses
The Patriot, the magazine by Fisher House, highlighted AMVETS Post 51 as one of their big
community groups giving back to veterans.
They raised over $32,000 to give to the Fisher Houses and the future Dayton VA Medical Center.
AMVETS Post 51 in Thornville, OH hosted a large event for fundraising to the Fisher House over the summer. They had a golf tournament, poker run, raffles, auctions, and a band play to benefit the Fisher Houses and the future Dayton VA Medical Center.
The Patriot reported there were 120 golfers, 109 riders in the poker run, and their patio on the shore of Buckeye Lake was overflowing with attendees and bidders.
